Three situations make up most of our Ocean Bluff-Brant Rock work. First, scratching in walls during the heating season: long cold winters push mice into older wood-frame homes, and a mouse only needs a gap about 1/4 inch wide.
We run rodent exclusion, set bait stations, and seal those openings. Second, ants trailing across kitchen counters in summer: we identify the species, treat the colony with crack-and-crevice application, and remove the food source.
Third, mosquitoes and ticks in humid months around yards near the Esplanade: we offer mosquito control and tick yard treatment timed to the season.
Here is how to start:
Note where you see or hear activity, including time of day.
Check under sinks and along the foundation for droppings or mud tubes.
Clear access to those areas before we arrive.
One check you can do today: run a hand along exterior door thresholds and sill plates spring freeze-thaw cycles expose foundation gaps you can often feel as soft or cracked caulk. If you find one, that is a likely entry point. We cover every address in 02050, from the ocean side to Marshfield Center.
